Objective
Teach digital safety to younger audiences through play, replacing the talk with an experience they could try for themselves.
Digital safety training for young people using virtual reality
CyberCamp needed to explain digital footprints and online risks to children and teenagers, in a format that could compete with everything else at the fair.
Teach digital safety to younger audiences through play, replacing the talk with an experience they could try for themselves.
At that age the message gets through by doing, not by being warned. Virtual reality puts the child inside the situation and lets them draw their own conclusion, rather than listening to a list of prohibitions.
Age-appropriate digital safety content, virtual reality equipment, set dressing and supervisors on the floor, all delivered as a single service.
We filtered our demo catalogue by digital safety topic and recommended age, and the client chose from that shortlist. The stand was completed with children’s props and staff used to working with minors.
The stand was one of the busiest points at the fair and was picked up by the media covering the event.
