Make the richness of Holy Week across the province of Valladolid known beyond the province, taking it to trade fairs and cities all over Spain rather than waiting for people to travel here.
A procession does not come across in photographs: it is sound, crowd and a space that surrounds you. 360º is one of the few formats that lets you stand inside the scene, look wherever you want and grasp the real scale of what is happening around you.
We filmed and produced the 360º piece that plays on the virtual reality headsets housed inside the sculpture, on a height-adjustable mount so that anyone who comes up to it can watch.
Filming took place during Holy Week in several towns across the province — Villanueva de Duero and Cuenca de Campos among them — with the added difficulty that many of the ceremonies happen at the same time and are never repeated. The sculpture, a 3.20-metre, 160-kilo weathering steel penitent by Julio Galán, was unveiled in December 2024 and travelled to Fitur in January 2025.
