The process

How we approached this project

Phase 01

Objective

Show the inside of the Montes de Toledo biomethane plant, designed and built by SITRA, to people who cannot visit it: customers, public bodies and visitors to industry trade fairs.

Phase 02

The opportunity

A bioenergy plant is hard to explain with photographs and drawings. Walking it in 360º reveals the true size of the digesters, the path the waste takes and every stage of the process in place, which is what convinces a technical audience.

Phase 04

The solution

We built a bespoke Meta Quest 3 application that plays the 360º content on its own in a corporate setting: it starts by itself, needs no phone and no operator behind it, and can be rolled out across several headsets at once at a trade fair or a sales event.

Phase 03

The work

We filmed the site with specialist 360º cameras and 360º drones, combining the real footage with 3D recreations of the original design to explain each stage: weighbridge, anaerobic digestion, biogas purification, compression module and dynamic composting. The experience was unveiled at the Renewable Gas Show in Valladolid on 1 and 2 October 2025.
