The project

Thirteen HTC VIVE systems hired for a day of artistic creation

Disney needed a large number of virtual reality systems with drawing software and support staff for a day of artistic expression.

The process

How we approached this project

Phase 01

Objective

Provide thirteen virtual reality stations running drawing software in parallel, plus the staff needed for every participant to start creating with no learning curve.

Phase 02

The opportunity

Setting up thirteen simultaneous systems is not the same as setting up one thirteen times: it takes calculated floor space, power, sensors that do not interfere with one another and someone to fix problems without stopping the activity.

Phase 05

The solution

Large-scale virtual reality equipment hire with creative software and technicians on site: a deployment most suppliers cannot cover with their own stock.

Phase 03

The work

We deployed thirteen HTC VIVE systems running three-dimensional drawing software. Each station was calibrated separately and support staff were assigned to guide anyone putting on a headset for the first time.

Phase 04

The result

The day ran without technical incidents and with all thirteen stations continuously occupied. Drawing inside the space itself, walking around your own brushstroke, surprises even people who draw every day.
